Studio Lemström is a design studio based in the Netherlands and Portugal. We create colourful, practical accessories with a focus on the bathroom. Our products are designed for daily use in and focus on simplicity, sleek design, durable materials, colour and straightforward installation

About Studio Lemström

Studio Lemström designs and produces bathroom accessories that add colour in a subtle, but impactful way. A small splash of colour can lift up the entire space. So whether you want to apply a single bit of colour or fully integrate our designs and colours in your bathroom interior, we can help.

We focus on objects that are used every day; toilet paper holders, wall hooks, shelves and other small essentials. We design them to be visually calm, with the option for bold colours.

We believe bathrooms deserve the same design attention as the rest of the home. Not just visually, but also practically: resistance to humidity, easy mounting and materials that age well over time.


The production and logistics of Studio Lemström is based in The Netherlands and we ship globally, with a primary focus on Europe. Our creative team is based in Lisbon, Portugal.

What we make

Our collection consists of functional bathroom accessories, designed to work both individually and as a coherent set. Typical product categories include:

Design approach

Our design process starts with use, not looks. Functional design, that looks good.

Key principles:

  • Colour: colour is used to add warmth and character, not noise.
  • Clear geometry: simple forms that feel calm in a busy space
  • Everyday logic: objects should be obvious to use, without instructions
  • Longevity: we want items to last both visually and physically

We test our designs in real bathrooms. Both the practical side of things like cleaning, mounting and how objects behave over time in humid conditions, as also how the product looks in real life.

Materials & finishes

Studio Lemström products are made using durable, bathroom-suitable materials chosen for daily use.
Currently all our products are:

  • made from stainless steel finished with a strong durable powder coating
  • all colour colour finishes are designed to age gracefully

Colour

Colour is central to Lemström, but always applied with intent.

We use a diverse set of colours so we can offer something for many looks. We have pastels, stronger primary colours and more natural colours like deep red and ivory. The wide variety of colours allows use in many different interior styles. The diversity in colours allows freedom to combine and be creative.

Rather than seasonal trends, we focus on colours that remain relevant and easy to live with and we aim to rather expand the range than to replace colours.

Installation & use

Our accessories are designed for straightforward installation. General characteristics:

  • Clear mounting logic with either screws or the adhesive strip that is provided
  • Designed to stay stable in daily use
  • Suitable for humid spaces

Care & maintenance

We aim to design products that do not need replacing quickly. This means:

Longevity is a core part of sustainability.

Regarding our packaging: we aim to be as plastic free as possible. At this moment only our screw sets are still coming in transparent recyclable polybags as the visual identification of these sets is needed in the assembly and packaging process. The rest of our packaging is all cardboard and paper filling.
